12:00-12:30: Lunch Break
12:30-1:00: Wrap-up service
1:00-1:30: Beach Exploration
Guiding Prompt: Look for evidence of living and nonliving parts of this ecosystem working together
Optional Activity: Build a beach ecosystem - find crabs, barnacles and other creatures, and the non-living things they need to survive to build a happy habitat!
Learn about and include at least 4/7 types of relationships within an ecosystem (symbiosis, mutualism, commensalism, predation, competition, amensalism, parasitism) in your habitat
1:30-2:30: Get Wet, Get Dirty
Work together to get as wet and grimy as you can! Roll in the sand, wrap seaweed around your limbs, squelch through the mud. Whatever it takes to get gross! Mentors (and any participants preferring to spectate) will judge who will take home the wettest and dirtiest title!
2:30-2:45: Peaceful Place
Journaling Prompt: Just like in a beach ecosystem, every person brings something special to a team - what do you add to a team that you are a part of? (What are you good at?)
2:45-3:00: Closing Circle
Preview of next day
Attitude of gratitude - What are you thankful for from our time together?
